¹⁸ Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head^(A) and set it up as a pillar^(B) and poured oil on top of it.^(C)

¹⁴ Jacob set up a stone pillar^(A) at the place where God had talked with him, and he poured out a drink offering^(B) on it; he also poured oil on it.^(C)

¹⁰ Then Moses took the anointing oil^(A) and anointed^(B) the tabernacle^(C) and everything in it, and so consecrated them. ¹¹ He sprinkled some of the oil on the altar seven times, anointing the altar and all its utensils and the basin with its stand, to consecrate them.^{(D) 12} He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed^(E) him to consecrate him.^(F)

⁴⁵ So Jacob took a stone and set it up as a pillar.^(A)

²⁰ Over her tomb Jacob set up a pillar, and to this day^(A) that pillar marks Rachel’s tomb.^(B)

¹³ I am the God of Bethel,^(A) where you anointed a pillar^(B) and where you made a vow^(C) to me. Now leave this land at once and go back to your native land.^(D)’”

¹⁹ In that day^(A) there will be an altar^(B) to the Lord in the heart of Egypt,^(C) and a monument^(D) to the Lord at its border.

¹⁰ Whatever^(A) your hand finds to do, do it with all your might,^(B) for in the realm of the dead,^(C) where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.^(D)
