⁸ Now, my son, listen carefully and do what I tell you:^(A)

6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.^(A)

²⁹ Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!^(A)

¹³ His mother said to him, “My son, let the curse fall on me.^(A) Just do what I say;^(B) go and get them for me.”

¹⁹ But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him?^(A) You be the judges!

⁴³ Now then, my son, do what I say:^(A) Flee at once to my brother Laban^(B) in Harran.^(C)
