Isaac Blesses Jacob

27 When Isaac was old and ^(A)his eyes were dim so that he could not see, he called Esau his older son and said to him, “My son”; and he answered, “Here I am.”

² At that time Eli, ^(A)whose eyesight had begun to grow dim so that he could not see, was lying down in his own place.

¹⁰ Now ^(A)the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. So Joseph brought them near him, ^(B)and he kissed them and embraced them.

²³ And the Lord said to her,

²⁴ When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb. ²⁵ The first came out red, ^(D)all his body like a hairy cloak, so they called his name Esau.

³ Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but ^(A)that the works of God might be displayed in him.

³ in the day when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men are bent, and the grinders cease because they are few, and ^(A)those who look through the windows are dimmed,
