⁶⁵ for she had said to the servant, “Who is this man walking in the field to meet us?”

The servant said, “It is my master.” So she took a veil and covered herself.

⁹ in like manner also, that the ^(A)women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and ^[a]moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,

⁵ But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were ^(A)shaved. ⁶ For if a woman is not covered, let her also be shorn. But if it is ^(B)shameful for a woman to be shorn or shaved, let her be covered.

¹⁰ For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.

¹⁶ Then to Sarah he said, “Behold, I have given your brother a thousand pieces of silver; ^(A)indeed this ^[a]vindicates you ^(B)before all who are with you and before everybody.” Thus she was ^[b]rebuked.
