⁵⁹ So they sent away their sister Rebekah and her nurse along with Abraham’s servant and his men.^(A)

⁸ And Deborah, Rebekah’s nurse, died, and she was buried under an oak below Bethel. So it was called Allon-bacuth.^[a](A)

⁵ As you know and as God is our witness, we never came with words of flattery or with a pretext for greed,^(A)

¹² Did I conceive all this people? Did I give birth to them, that you should say to me, ‘Carry them in your bosom as a wet nurse carries a nursing child, to the land that you promised on oath to their ancestors’?^(A)

⁶⁰ And they blessed Rebekah and said to her,

⁵³ And the servant brought out jewelry of silver and of gold and garments and gave them to Rebekah; he also gave to her brother and to her mother costly ornaments.^(A)

⁵⁰ Then Laban and Bethuel answered, “The thing comes from the Lord; we cannot speak to you anything bad or good.^(A)
