²⁵ Moreover she said to him, “We have both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge.”

^9 (A)Be hospitable to one another ^(B)without grumbling.

¹⁹ although we have both straw and fodder for our donkeys, and bread and wine for myself, for your female servant, and for the young man who is with your servant; there is no lack of anything.”

²⁰ And the old man said, ^(A)“Peace be with you! However, let all your needs be my responsibility; ^(B)only do not spend the night in the open square.” ^21 (C)So he brought him into his house, and gave fodder to the donkeys. ^(D)And they washed their feet, and ate and drank.

⁴ Please let ^(A)a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree. ⁵ And ^(B)I will bring a morsel of bread, that ^(C)you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, ^(D)inasmuch as you have come to your servant.”

They said, “Do as you have said.”

⁶ So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” ⁷ And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it. ⁸ So ^(E)he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.
