¹⁵ “Listen to me, my lord; the land is worth four hundred shekels^[a] of silver,^(A) but what is that between you and me? Bury your dead.”

¹² The shekel^[a] is to consist of twenty gerahs.^(A) Twenty shekels plus twenty-five shekels plus fifteen shekels equal one mina.^[b]

¹⁵ The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less^(A) when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives.

¹³ Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel,^[a] according to the sanctuary shekel,^(A) which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the Lord.
