Hagar and Ishmael Sent Away

⁸ The child grew and was weaned,^(A) and on the day Isaac was weaned Abraham held a great feast.

²² Hannah did not go. She said to her husband, “After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present^(A) him before the Lord, and he will live there always.”^[a]

⁸ After she had weaned Lo-Ruhamah,^(A) Gomer had another son.

¹⁵ Then Solomon awoke^(A)—and he realized it had been a dream.^(B)

He returned to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant and sacrificed burnt offerings^(C) and fellowship offerings.^(D) Then he gave a feast^(E) for all his court.

²⁰ When Abner, who had twenty men with him, came to David at Hebron, David prepared a feast^(A) for him and his men.

²⁰ Now the third day^(A) was Pharaoh’s birthday,^(B) and he gave a feast for all his officials.^(C) He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker^(D) in the presence of his officials:

³⁰ Isaac then made a feast^(A) for them, and they ate and drank.

³ But he insisted^(A) so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house.^(B) He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast,^(C) and they ate.^(D)
