⁴ And Abraham ^(A)circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, ^(B)as God had commanded him.

⁸ And ^(A)he gave him the covenant of circumcision. And ^(B)so Abraham became the father of Isaac, and ^(C)circumcised him on the eighth day, and ^(D)Isaac became the father of Jacob, and ^(E)Jacob of the twelve patriarchs.

^22 (A)Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is from Moses, but ^(B)from the fathers), and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. ²³ If on the Sabbath a man receives circumcision, so that the law of Moses may not be broken, ^(C)are you angry with me because on the Sabbath I made a man's whole body well?

²¹ And ^(A)at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, ^(B)he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

⁵⁹ And ^(A)on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child. And they would have called him Zechariah after his father,

⁶ And they were both ^(A)righteous before God, walking ^(B)blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.

^32 [a] “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. ^(A)You shall not add to it or take from it.

³ And on the ^(A)eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

^48 (A)If a stranger shall sojourn with you and would keep the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised. Then he may come near and keep it; he ^(B)shall be as a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.

¹⁰ This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. ¹¹ You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a ^(A)sign of the covenant between me and you. ¹² He who is ^(B)eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or ^(C)bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring,
