²⁸ Then he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain; and he saw, and behold, ^(A)the smoke of the land which went up like the smoke of a furnace.

^9 (A)“The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her ^(B)will weep and lament for her, ^(C)when they see the smoke of her burning,

² And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the ^(A)sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.

^8 (A)But the cowardly, ^[a]unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in ^(B)the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

^18 (A)and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ^(B)‘What is like this great city?’

⁷ as ^(A)Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the ^[a]vengeance of eternal fire.

³ Again they said, “Alleluia! ^(A)Her smoke rises up forever and ever!”

¹⁰ he himself ^(A)shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is ^(B)poured out full strength into ^(C)the cup of His indignation. ^(D)He shall be tormented with ^(E)fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. ¹¹ And ^(F)the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
