¹⁵ With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away^(A) when the city is punished.^(B)”

²⁴ “Say to the assembly, ‘Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.’”

²⁵ Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel^(A) followed him. ²⁶ He warned the assembly, “Move back from the tents of these wicked men!^(B) Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away^(C) because of all their sins.^(D)” ²⁷ So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.^(E) Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children^(F) and little ones at the entrances to their tents.^(G)

Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

Warning Against Unbelief

⁷ So, as the Holy Spirit says:^(A)

² For he says,

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

²⁴ “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door,^(A) because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. ²⁵ Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’

“But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’^(B)

²² But flee there quickly, because I cannot do anything until you reach it.” (That is why the town was called Zoar.^[a](A))

¹⁷ As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives!^(A) Don’t look back,^(B) and don’t stop anywhere in the plain!^(C) Flee to the mountains^(D) or you will be swept away!”
