¹⁵ When morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Get up, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or else you will be consumed in the punishment of the city.”^(A)

²⁴ “Speak to the congregation, saying: Get away from the dwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.” ²⁵ So Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram; the elders of Israel followed him. ²⁶ He spoke to the congregation, saying, “Turn away from the tents of these wicked men and touch nothing of theirs, or you will be swept away for all their sins.”^{(A) 27} So they got away from the dwellings of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and Dathan and Abiram came out and stood at the entrances of their tents, together with their wives, their children, and their little ones.

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

² For he says,

Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!^(A)

²⁴ “Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.^{(A) 25} Once the owner of the house has got up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, open to us,’ then in reply he will say to you, ‘I do not know where you come from.’^(B)

²² Hurry, escape there, for I can do nothing until you arrive there.” Therefore the city was called Zoar.^[a]

Warning against Unbelief

⁷ Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says,

¹⁷ When they had brought them outside, they^[a] said, “Flee for your life; do not look back or stop anywhere in the plain; flee to the hills, or else you will be consumed.”^(A)
