Sodom and Gomorrah Destroyed^(A)

¹² Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—^(B)take them out of this place!

The Great Flood^(A)

7 Then the ^(B)Lord said to Noah, ^(C)“Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that ^(D)you are righteous before Me in this generation.

⁴ And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ^(A)“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

⁷ and ^(A)delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked

⁹ then ^(A)the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

²² But Joshua had said to the two men who had spied out the country, “Go into the harlot’s house, and from there bring out the woman and all that she has, ^(A)as you swore to her.” ²³ And the young men who had been spies went in and brought out Rahab, ^(B)her father, her mother, her brothers, and all that she had. So they brought out all her relatives and left them outside the camp of Israel.

²⁶ And he spoke to the congregation, saying, ^(A)“Depart now from the tents of these wicked men! Touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins.”

¹⁷ So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that ^[a]he said, ^(A)“Escape for your life! ^(B)Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape ^(C)to the mountains, lest you be ^[b]destroyed.”

³⁹ then I will ^(A)give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me forever, for the good of them and their children after them.

²² Hurry, escape there. For ^(A)I cannot do anything until you arrive there.”

Therefore ^(B)the name of the city was called ^[a]Zoar.
