³¹ And he said, “Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?”

So He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.”

²⁰ by a new and ^(A)living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, ²¹ and having a High Priest over the house of God, ²² let us ^(B)draw near with a true heart ^(C)in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

^16 (A)Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

^18 (A)praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, ^(B)being watchful to this end with all perseverance and ^(C)supplication for all the saints—

The Parable of the Persistent Widow

18 Then He spoke a parable to them, that men ^(A)always ought to pray and not lose heart,

⁸ I say to you, ^(A)though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.

¹¹ If you then, ^(A)being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
