The Utter Corruption of God’s People

²² And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved, but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.^(A)

³⁰ And I sought for anyone among them who would repair the wall and stand in the breach before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.^(A)

²⁴ On that day Israel will be the third party with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,

²² For though your people, O Israel, were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. Destruction is decreed, an overwhelming verdict.^(A)
