^2 (A)So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; ^(B)and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,

^2 (A)Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing ^(B)some have unwittingly entertained angels.

²² Then the men turned away from there ^(A)and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the Lord.

Sodom’s Depravity

19 Now ^(A)the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and ^(B)Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground.

³ And the ^(A)Angel of the Lord appeared to the woman and said to her, “Indeed now, you are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.

⁷ Then Abraham stood up and bowed himself to the people of the land, the sons of Heth.

The Commander of the Army of the Lord

¹³ And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, ^(A)a Man stood opposite him ^(B)with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?”

¹⁴ So Judah and his brothers came to Joseph’s house, and he was still there; and they ^(A)fell before him on the ground.

²⁸ And they answered, “Your servant our father is in good health; he is still alive.” ^(A)And they bowed their heads down and prostrated themselves.

²⁶ And when Joseph came home, they brought him the present which was in their hand into the house, and ^(A)bowed down before him to the earth.
