²¹ But ^(A)I will establish my covenant with Isaac, ^(B)whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year.”

² And the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell ^(A)in the land of which I shall tell you. ^3 (B)Sojourn in this land, and ^(C)I will be with you and will bless you, for ^(D)to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish ^(E)the oath that I swore to Abraham your father. ^4 (F)I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And ^(G)in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, ⁵ because ^(H)Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

² And Sarah ^(A)conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age ^(B)at the time of which God had spoken to him. ³ Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore him, ^(C)Isaac.^[a]

²⁹ And ^(A)if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, ^(B)heirs according to promise.

⁵ To them belong ^(A)the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, ^(B)who is God over all, ^(C)blessed forever. Amen.

⁶ But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel,

¹⁰ The Lord said, “I will surely return to you ^(A)about this time next year, and ^(B)Sarah your wife shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent door behind him.

⁹ By faith he went to live in ^(A)the land of promise, as in a foreign land, ^(B)living in tents ^(C)with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise.

⁹ For this is what the promise said: ^(A)“About this time next year I will return, and Sarah shall have a son.”

⁷ He said to them, ^(A)“It is not for you to know ^(B)times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.
