⁵ Then Sarai said to Abram, ^[a]“My wrong be upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. ^(A)The Lord judge between you and me.”

⁵³ The God of Abraham, the God of Nahor, and the God of their father ^(A)judge between us.” And Jacob ^(B)swore by ^(C)the ^[a]Fear of his father Isaac.

^21 (A)And they said to them, “Let the Lord look on you and judge, because you have made ^[a]us abhorrent in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to kill us.”

⁴⁰ But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

⁴¹ And ^[a]Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

Prayer to God in Time of Trouble

²² Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness which Jehoiada his ^[a]father had done to him, but killed his son; and as he died, he said, “The Lord look on it, and ^(A)repay!”

^12 (A)Let the Lord judge between you and me, and let the Lord avenge me on you. But my hand shall not be against you. ¹³ As the proverb of the ancients says, ^(B)‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand shall not be against you. ¹⁴ After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? ^(C)A dead dog? ^(D)A flea? ^15 (E)Therefore let the Lord be judge, and judge between you and me, and ^(F)see and ^(G)plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.”
