⁷ Then He said to him, “I am the Lord, who ^(A)brought you out of ^(B)Ur of the Chaldeans, ^(C)to give you this land to inherit it.”

² And he said, ^(A)“Brethren and fathers, listen: The ^(B)God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in ^(C)Haran, ³ and said to him, ^(D)‘Get out of your country and from your relatives, and come to a land that I will show you.’ ⁴ Then ^(E)he came out of the land of the Chaldeans and dwelt in Haran. And from there, when his father was ^(F)dead, He moved him to this land in which you now dwell.

Promises to Abram^(A)

12 Now the ^(B)Lord had said to Abram:

The Promise Granted Through Faith

¹³ For the promise that he would be the ^(A)heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

¹⁵ for all the land which you see ^(A)I give to you and ^(B)your ^[a]descendants forever. ¹⁶ And ^(C)I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. ¹⁷ Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.”
