¹⁵ Now as for you, ^(A)you shall ^[a]go ^(B)to your fathers in peace; ^(C)you shall be buried at a good old age.

Abraham’s Death and Burial

⁷ This is the sum of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred and seventy-five years. ⁸ Then Abraham breathed his last and ^(A)died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and ^(B)was gathered to his people. ⁹ And ^(C)his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of ^(D)Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite,

²⁸ “Surely I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace; and your eyes shall not see all the calamity which I will bring on this place and its inhabitants.” ’ ” So they brought back word to the king.

¹³ And when you have seen it, you also ^(A)shall ^[a]be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered.

³⁶ “For David, after he had served ^[a]his own generation by the will of God, ^(A)fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and ^[b]saw corruption;

¹³ “But you, go your way till the end; ^(A)for you shall rest, ^(B)and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”

¹⁷ So Job died, old and ^(A)full of days.

²⁸ So he ^(A)died in a good old age, ^(B)full of days and riches and honor; and Solomon his son reigned in his place.
