¹² and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife’; then they will kill me, but they will let you live.^(A)

¹¹ Abraham said, “I did it because I thought, Surely there is no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.^(A)

²⁸ Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, fear the one who can destroy both soul and body in hell.^[a]
