²⁶ Now Terah lived seventy years, and ^(A)begot ^[a]Abram, Nahor, and Haran.

² And Joshua said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ^(A)‘Your fathers, including Terah, the father of Abraham and the father of Nahor, dwelt on the other side of ^[a]the River in old times; and ^(B)they served other gods.

²⁶ Serug, Nahor, Terah, ²⁷ and ^(A)Abram, who is Abraham.

⁴ And Jacob said to them, “My brethren, where are you from?”

And they said, “We are from ^(A)Haran.”

⁵ Then he said to them, “Do you know ^(B)Laban the son of Nahor?”

And they said, “We know him.”

The Family of Nahor

²⁰ Now it came to pass after these things that it was told Abraham, saying, “Indeed ^(A)Milcah also has borne children to your brother Nahor: ^21 (B)Huz his firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father ^(C)of Aram, ²² Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, and Bethuel.” ²³ And ^(D)Bethuel begot ^[a]Rebekah. These eight Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham’s brother. ²⁴ His concubine, whose name was Reumah, also bore Tebah, Gaham, Thahash, and Maachah.

⁴ So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. ⁵ Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and ^(A)the ^[a]people whom they had acquired ^(B)in Haran, and they ^(C)departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.
