⁷L’Eternel apparut à Abram et lui dit : Je donnerai ce pays à ta descendance^[a].

Abram érigea là un autel à l’Eternel qui lui était apparu. ⁸Puis il leva le camp pour se rendre dans la région montagneuse à l’est de Béthel^[b] ; il établit son campement entre Béthel, à l’ouest, et Aï, à l’est. Il y érigea un autre autel à l’Eternel et lui adressa des prières. ⁹Ensuite Abram repartit vers le sud ; d’étape en étape, il gagna le Néguev^[c].

⁷L'Éternel apparut à Abram, et dit: Je donnerai ce pays à ta postérité. Et Abram bâtit là un autel à l'Éternel, qui lui était apparu.

⁸Il se transporta de là vers la montagne, à l'orient de Béthel, et il dressa ses tentes, ayant Béthel à l'occident et Aï à l'orient. Il bâtit encore là un autel à l'Éternel, et il invoqua le nom de l'Éternel.

⁹Abram continua ses marches, en s'avançant vers le midi.

New International Version

⁷The Lord appeared to Abram^(A) and said, “To your offspring^[a] I will give this land.^(B)”^(C) So he built an altar there to the Lord,^(D) who had appeared to him.

⁸From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel^(E) and pitched his tent,^(F) with Bethel on the west and Ai^(G) on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.^(H)

⁹Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev.^(I)
