²⁵ They prepared their gifts^(A) for Joseph’s arrival at noon,^(B) because they had heard that they were to eat there.

¹¹ Then their father Israel^(A) said to them, “If it must be, then do this: Put some of the best products^(B) of the land in your bags and take them down to the man as a gift^(C)—a little balm^(D) and a little honey, some spices^(E) and myrrh,^(F) some pistachio nuts and almonds.

¹⁶ When Joseph saw Benjamin^(A) with them, he said to the steward of his house,^(B) “Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal;^(C) they are to eat with me at noon.”
