³and he put them in the prison where Joseph was, in the palace of the captain of the guard.

Genesis 40:3

New International Version

³and put them in custody in the house of the captain of the guard,^(A) in the same prison where Joseph was confined.

²⁰So he took Joseph and threw him into the prison where the king’s prisoners were held, and there he remained.

²⁰Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison,^(A) the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.

But while Joseph was there in the prison,

²³The warden had no more worries, because Joseph took care of everything. The Lord was with him and caused everything he did to succeed.

²³The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s^(A) care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.^(B)
