³⁰ The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I have been.^(A) But now, when may I do something for my own household?^(B)”

⁸ Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied^(A) the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

¹⁴ Now I am ready to visit you for the third time,^(A) and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents,^(B) but parents for their children.^(C)

¹⁰ The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt,^(A) from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden.
