The Value of a Friend

Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up the other, but woe to one who is alone and falls and does not have another to help. 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?(A) 12 And though one might prevail against another, two will withstand one. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,

A man ought not to cover his head,[a] since he is the image(A) and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;(B) neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.(C) 10 It is for this reason that a woman ought to have authority over her own[b] head, because of the angels. 11 Nevertheless, in the Lord woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman. 12 For as woman came from man, so also man is born of woman. But everything comes from God.(D)
