Galatians 3:23-29

New International Version

Children of God

²³Before the coming of this faith,^[a] we were held in custody^(A) under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed.^(B) ²⁴So the law was our guardian until Christ came^(C) that we might be justified by faith.^(D) ²⁵Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.^(E)

²⁶So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God^(F) through faith, ²⁷for all of you who were baptized into Christ^(G) have clothed yourselves with Christ.^(H) ²⁸There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free,^(I) nor is there male and female,^(J) for you are all one in Christ Jesus.^(K) ²⁹If you belong to Christ,^(L) then you are Abraham’s seed,^(M) and heirs^(N) according to the promise.^(O)

²³Now before faith came about, we were held in custody and confined under the Law in preparation for the faith that was to be revealed. ²⁴And so the Law was our guardian until the Messiah^[a] came, so that we might be justified by faith. ²⁵But now that faith has come about, we are no longer under a guardian.

You are God’s Children

²⁶For all of you are God’s children through faith in the Messiah^[b] Jesus. ²⁷Indeed, all of you who were baptized into the Messiah^[c] have clothed yourselves with the Messiah.^[d] ²⁸Because all of you are one in the Messiah^[e] Jesus, a person is no longer a Jew or a Greek, a slave or a free person, a male or a female. ²⁹And if you belong to the Messiah,^[f] then you are Abraham’s descendants indeed, and heirs according to the promise.
