Justification through Faith

You foolish(A) Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you,[a] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed[b] as crucified?(B) I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?[c] Are you so foolish? After beginning by the Spirit, are you now finishing by the flesh? Did you experience[d](C) so much for nothing—if in fact it was for nothing? So then, does God give you the Spirit and work miracles(D) among you by your doing the works of the law? Or is it by believing what you heard—

Faith Brings Righteousness

This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by works of [b]the Law, or by (C)hearing [c]with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun [d]by the Spirit, are you now [e]being perfected by the flesh? Did you [f]suffer so many things in vain—(D)if indeed it was in vain?
