Justification through Faith

You foolish(A) Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you,[a] before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed[b] as crucified?(B) I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by believing what you heard?[c] Are you so foolish? After beginning by the Spirit, are you now finishing by the flesh? Did you experience[d](C) so much for nothing—if in fact it was for nothing? So then, does God give you the Spirit and work miracles(D) among you by your doing the works of the law? Or is it by believing what you heard—

Justified by the Law, or Justified by Faith?

O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as having been crucified? I want only to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now trying to be made complete by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things for nothing—if indeed also it was for nothing? Therefore does the one who gives you the Spirit and who works miracles among you do so by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
