⁸ And the Scripture, foreseeing that ^(A)God would justify^[a] the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ^(B)“In you shall all the nations be blessed.”

^3 (A)I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and ^(B)in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”^[a]

¹⁸ and ^(A)in your offspring shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, ^(B)because you have obeyed my voice.”

¹⁴ Your offspring shall be like ^(A)the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south, and in you and ^(B)your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

^4 (A)I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And ^(B)in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

¹⁸ seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be ^(A)blessed in him?

²⁸ For we hold that one is justified by faith ^(A)apart from works of the law. ²⁹ Or ^(B)is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, ³⁰ since ^(C)God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and ^(D)the uncircumcised through faith.

²² But the Scripture ^(A)imprisoned everything under sin, so that ^(B)the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given ^(C)to those who believe.

² For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because ^(A)they were not united by faith with those who listened.^[a]

¹⁶ Now ^(A)the promises were made ^(B)to Abraham and to his offspring. It does not say, “And to offsprings,” referring to many, but referring to one, ^(C)“And to your offspring,” who is Christ.
