Galatians 3:20-22
Christian Standard Bible Anglicised
20 Now a mediator is not just for one person alone, but God is one.(A) 21 Is the law therefore contrary to God’s promises? Absolutely not! For if the law had been granted with the ability to give life, then righteousness would certainly be on the basis of the law. 22 But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin’s power,[a](B) so that the promise might be given on the basis of faith(C) in Jesus Christ to those who believe.(D)

New International Version
20 A mediator,(A) however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
21 Is the law, therefore, opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not!(B) For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.(C) 22 But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin,(D) so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
