Galatians 6:12-14

American Standard Version

¹²As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted ^[a]for the cross of Christ. ¹³For not even they who ^[b]receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. ¹⁴But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through ^[c]which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

¹²Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh^(A) are trying to compel you to be circumcised.^(B) The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted^(C) for the cross of Christ. ¹³Not even those who are circumcised keep the law,^(D) yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh.^(E) ¹⁴May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,^(F) through which^[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.^(G)
