⁹ But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be ^(A)known by God, ^(B)how is it that you turn back again to the weak and worthless ^[a](C)elemental things, to which you desire to be enslaved all over again?

^8 (A)See to it that no one takes you captive through ^(B)philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the ^(C)elementary principles of the world, ^[a]rather than according to Christ.

^20 (A)If you have died with Christ ^[a]to the ^(B)elementary principles of the world, ^(C)why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to ^(D)decrees, such as,

¹² For though ^[a]by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you ^(A)the ^[b](B)elementary principles of the ^(C)oracles of God, and you have come to need ^(D)milk and not solid food.
