6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son(A) into our hearts,(B) the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[a] Father.”(C) 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.(D)
Paul’s Concern for the Galatians
8 Formerly, when you did not know God,(E) you were slaves(F) to those who by nature are not gods.(G) 9 But now that you know God—or rather are known by God(H)—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable forces[b]? Do you wish to be enslaved(I) by them all over again?(J)

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
