¹³ Christ ^(A)redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us—for it is written: “^(B)Cursed is everyone who hangs on ^(C)a ^[a]tree”— ¹⁴ in order that ^(D)in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we ^(E)would receive ^(F)the promise of the Spirit through faith.

²² “Now if ^[a]a person has committed a sin carrying ^(A)a sentence of death and he is put to death, and you hang him on ^[b]a tree, ^23 (B)his body is not to be left overnight on the ^[c]tree, but you shall certainly bury him on the same day (for ^(C)he who is hanged is cursed of God), so that you ^(D)do not defile your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
