Galatians 3:11-13
Contemporary English Version
11 (A) No one can please God by obeying the Law. The Scriptures also say, “The people God accepts because of their faith will live.”[a]
12 (B) The Law isn't based on faith. It promises life only to people who obey its commands. 13 (C) But Christ rescued us from the Law's curse, when he became a curse in our place. This is because the Scriptures say that anyone who is nailed to a tree is under a curse.

New International Version
11 Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God,(A) because “the righteous will live by faith.”[a](B) 12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”[b](C) 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law(D) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”[c](E)
