Galatians 3:10-14

¹⁰For everyone who depends on legalistic observance of Torah commands lives under a curse, since it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the Scroll of the Torah.”^[a] ¹¹Now it is evident that no one comes to be declared righteous by God through legalism, since “The person who is righteous will attain life by trusting and being faithful.”^[b] ¹²Furthermore, legalism is not based on trusting and being faithful, but on [a misuse of] the text that says, “Anyone who does these things will attain life through them.”^[c] ¹³The Messiah redeemed us from the curse pronounced in the Torah by becoming cursed on our behalf; for the Tanakh says, “Everyone who hangs from a stake comes under a curse.”^[d] ¹⁴Yeshua the Messiah did this so that in union with him the Gentiles might receive the blessing announced to Avraham, so that through trusting and being faithful, we might receive what was promised, namely, the Spirit.

Galatians 3:10-14

New International Version

¹⁰For all who rely on the works of the law^(A) are under a curse,^(B) as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”^[a]^(C) ¹¹Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God,^(D) because “the righteous will live by faith.”^[b]^(E) ¹²The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.”^[c]^(F) ¹³Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law^(G) by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”^[d]^(H) ¹⁴He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus,^(I) so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.^(J)
