16 Yet, we know that people don’t receive God’s approval by any effort to follow the laws in the Scriptures, but only by believing in Yeshua Christ. So we also believed in Yeshua Christ in order to receive God’s approval by faith in Christ and not by our own efforts. People won’t receive God’s approval by their own efforts.

Galatians 2:16
New International Version
16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law,(A) but by faith in Jesus Christ.(B) So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[a] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.(C)
