Follow the Good News We Gave You
6 I’m surprised that you’re so quickly deserting Christ, who called you in his kindness,[a] to follow a different kind of good news. 7 But what some people are calling good news is not really good news at all. They are confusing you. They want to distort the Good News about Christ. 8 Whoever tells you good news that is different from the Good News we gave you should be condemned to hell, even if he is one of us or an angel from heaven. 9 I’m now telling you again what we’ve told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell.
10 Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ’s servant.

6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called(A) you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel(B)— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion(C) and are trying to pervert(D) the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you,(E) let them be under God’s curse!(F) 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted,(G) let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people?(H) If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
