² Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.^(A)

15 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak^(A) and not to please ourselves.

¹⁴ And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle^(A) and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak,^(B) be patient with everyone.

³⁴ “A new command^(A) I give you: Love one another.^(B) As I have loved you, so you must love one another.^(C)

²¹ And he has given us this command:^(A) Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.^(B)

⁸ If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”^[a](A) you are doing right.

¹² My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.^(A)

Life by the Spirit

¹³ You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free.^(A) But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh^[a];^(B) rather, serve one another^(C) humbly in love. ¹⁴ For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”^[b](D)

⁵ If you see the donkey^(A) of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.

¹⁴ Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.^{(A) 15} I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.^(B)
