³ I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that ^(A)he is obligated to keep the whole law.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

¹⁰ For all who rely on works of the law are ^(A)under a curse; for it is written, ^(B)“Cursed be everyone who does not ^(C)abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”

²⁵ For circumcision indeed is of value ^(A)if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision.

¹⁰ For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point ^(A)has become guilty of all of it. ¹¹ For he who said, ^(B)“Do not commit adultery,” also said, ^(C)“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

The New Life

¹⁷ Now this I say and ^(A)testify in the Lord, ^(B)that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, ^(C)in the futility of their minds.

²¹ And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as ^(A)a witness (for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their offspring). For ^(B)I know what they are inclined to do even today, before I have brought them into the land that I swore to give.”

^26 (A)“‘Cursed be anyone who does not confirm the words of this law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

¹⁹ And if you forget the Lord your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, ^(A)I solemnly warn you today that you shall surely perish.

¹⁸ And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by ^(A)the gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’

^29 (A)And you warned them in order to turn them back to your law. Yet ^(B)they acted presumptuously and did not obey your commandments, but sinned against your rules, ^(C)which if a person does them, he shall live by them, ^(D)and they turned a stubborn shoulder ^(E)and stiffened their neck and would not obey. ³⁰ Many years ^(F)you bore with them ^(G)and warned them ^(H)by your Spirit through your prophets. ^(I)Yet they would not give ear. ^(J)Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.
