^10 (A)I have confidence in the Lord that you will ^(B)take no other view, and ^(C)the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is.

¹² I wish ^(A)those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!

¹⁵ Let those of us who are ^(A)mature think this way, and if in anything ^(B)you think otherwise, ^(C)God will reveal that also to you.

^7 (A)not that there is another one, but ^(B)there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.

³ And I wrote as I did, so that when I came I might not suffer pain from those who should have made me rejoice, ^(A)for I felt sure of all of you, that my joy would be the joy of you all.

Warning Concerning Antichrists

¹⁸ Children, ^(A)it is the last hour, and as you have heard that ^(B)antichrist is coming, so now ^(C)many antichrists have come. ^(D)Therefore we know that it is the last hour. ^19 (E)They went out from us, but they were not of us; for ^(F)if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, ^(G)that it might become plain that they all are not of us. ²⁰ But you have been ^(H)anointed by ^(I)the Holy One, and ^(J)you all have knowledge.^{[a] 21} I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth. ²² Who is the liar but ^(K)he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is ^(L)the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. ^23 (M)No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. ²⁴ Let ^(N)what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then ^(O)you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise that he made to us^[b]—^(P)eternal life.

²⁶ I write these things to you about ^(Q)those who are trying to deceive you.

²⁰ among whom are ^(A)Hymenaeus and ^(B)Alexander, whom I ^(C)have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to ^(D)blaspheme.

^12 (A)It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh ^(B)who would force you to be circumcised, and only ^(C)in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. ¹³ For even those who are circumcised do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may boast in your flesh.

¹⁷ They make much of you, but for no good purpose. They want to shut you out, that you may make much of them.
