Freedom in Christ

5 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.^(A) Stand firm,^(B) then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.^(C)

¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,^(A) with the breastplate of righteousness in place,^{(B) 15} and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.^{(C) 16} In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,^(D) with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.^(E)
