⁷ So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir through God.^[a]

²⁹ And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring,^[a] heirs according to the promise.^(A)

4 My point is this: heirs, as long as they are minors, are no better than those who are enslaved, though they are the owners of all the property, ² but they remain under guardians and trustees until the date set by the father.

²¹ So let no one boast about people.^[a] For all things are yours,^{(A) 22} whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, ²³ and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.^(B)

²⁶ for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.^(A)

¹⁶ it is that very Spirit bearing witness^[a] with our spirit that we are children of God,^{(A) 17} and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if we in fact suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.^(B)

⁵ in order to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children.^{(A) 6} And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our^[a] hearts, crying, “Abba!^[b] Father!”^(B)

³¹ So then, brothers and sisters, we are children, not of an enslaved woman but of the free woman. 5 ¹ For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.^(A)
