¹² Brothers,^{[a] (A)}I entreat you, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. ^(B)You did me no wrong.

Forgive the Sinner

⁵ Now ^(A)if anyone has caused pain, ^(B)he has caused it not to me, but ^(C)in some measure—not to put it too severely—to all of you.

⁴ And he said to Jehoshaphat, “Will you go with me to battle at Ramoth-gilead?” And Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, ^(A)“I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

^20 (A)To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. ²¹ To ^(B)those outside the law I became ^(C)as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but ^(D)under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. ^22 (E)To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. ^(F)I have become all things to all people, that ^(G)by all means I might save some. ²³ I do it all for the sake of the gospel, ^(H)that I may share with them in its blessings.

¹⁵ Only on this condition will we agree with you—that you will become as we are by every male among you being circumcised.

⁷ But ^(A)whatever gain I had, ^(B)I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. ⁸ Indeed, I count everything as loss because of ^(C)the surpassing worth of ^(D)knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I ^(E)have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

¹⁴ But far be it from me to boast ^(A)except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which^[a] the world ^(B)has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

¹⁴ But when I saw that their ^(A)conduct was not in step with ^(B)the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas ^(C)before them all, “If you, though a Jew, ^(D)live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

^13 (A)In return (I speak ^(B)as to children) widen your hearts also.
