The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

¹⁰ For all who rely on works of the law are ^(A)under a curse; for it is written, ^(B)“Cursed be everyone who does not ^(C)abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”

^26 (A)“‘Cursed be anyone who does not confirm the words of this law by doing them.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’

⁷ For the mind that is set on the flesh is ^(A)hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; ^(B)indeed, it cannot.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever ^(A)the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, ^(B)so that every mouth may be stopped, and ^(C)the whole world may be held accountable to God. ²⁰ For ^(D)by works of the law no human being^[a] will be justified in his sight, since ^(E)through the law comes knowledge of sin.

⁹ But if you ^(A)show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. ¹⁰ For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point ^(B)has become guilty of all of it. ¹¹ For he who said, ^(C)“Do not commit adultery,” also said, ^(D)“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

^23 (A)For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁵ For ^(A)the law brings wrath, but ^(B)where there is no law ^(C)there is no transgression.

³ You shall say to them, Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: ^(A)Cursed be the man who does not hear the words of this covenant

^26 (A)“See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: ^27 (B)the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, ²⁸ and ^(C)the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way that I am commanding you today, ^(D)to go after other gods that you have not known.
