1 Paul, an ^(A)apostle—^(B)not from men nor through man, but ^(C)through Jesus Christ and God the Father, ^(D)who raised him from the dead—

Paul Called by God

¹¹ For ^(A)I would have you know, brothers, that ^(B)the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel.^{[a] 12 (C)}For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it ^(D)through a revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ ^(A)the faithful witness, ^(B)the firstborn of the dead, and ^(C)the ruler of kings on earth.

To ^(D)him who loves us and ^(E)has freed us from our sins by his blood

³ and ^(A)at the proper time manifested in his word^{[a] (B)}through the preaching ^(C)with which I have been entrusted ^(D)by the command of God our Savior;

To the church of God that is at Corinth, ^(D)with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:

1 Paul, ^(A)called ^(B)by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and our brother Sosthenes,

¹⁴ And he said, ^(A)‘The God of our fathers ^(B)appointed you to know his will, ^(C)to see ^(D)the Righteous One and ^(E)to hear a voice from his mouth; ¹⁵ for ^(F)you will be a witness for him to everyone of what ^(G)you have seen and heard. ¹⁶ And now why do you wait? ^(H)Rise and be baptized and ^(I)wash away your sins, ^(J)calling on his name.’

^17 (K)“When I had returned to Jerusalem and ^(L)was praying in the temple, I fell into ^(M)a trance ¹⁸ and saw him saying to me, ^(N)‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not accept your testimony about me.’ ¹⁹ And I said, ‘Lord, they themselves know that in one synagogue after another ^(O)I imprisoned and ^(P)beat those who believed in you. ²⁰ And when the blood of Stephen ^(Q)your witness was being shed, ^(R)I myself was standing by and ^(S)approving and ^(T)watching over the garments of those who killed him.’ ²¹ And he said to me, ‘Go, for I will send you ^(U)far away to the Gentiles.’”

¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, “Go, for ^(A)he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name ^(B)before the Gentiles and ^(C)kings and the children of Israel. ¹⁶ For ^(D)I will show him how much ^(E)he must suffer ^(F)for the sake of my name.”

²⁰ Now ^(A)may the God of peace ^(B)who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, ^(C)the great shepherd of the sheep, by ^(D)the blood of the eternal covenant,
