⁷ So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.^(A)

²⁹ If you belong to Christ,^(A) then you are Abraham’s seed,^(B) and heirs^(C) according to the promise.^(D)

4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. ² The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father.

²¹ So then, no more boasting about human leaders!^(A) All things are yours,^{(B) 22} whether Paul or Apollos^(C) or Cephas^[a](D) or the world or life or death or the present or the future^(E)—all are yours, ²³ and you are of Christ,^(F) and Christ is of God.

²⁶ So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God^(A) through faith,

¹⁶ The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit^(A) that we are God’s children.^{(B) 17} Now if we are children, then we are heirs^(C)—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings^(D) in order that we may also share in his glory.^(E)
