³ Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord^[a] Jesus Christ,

¹⁵ But when God, who from my mother’s womb set me apart and called^(A) me by his grace, was pleased

⁹ When James,^(A) Cephas,^[a](B) and John^(C)—those recognized as pillars^(D)—acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas, agreeing that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

²¹ I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the law,^(A) then Christ died^(B) for nothing.

¹⁸ For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise; but God has graciously given it to Abraham through the promise.
